Kelly Clancy reports on a tireless crusade against a genetic killer

Wired Magazine has just published a feature piece written by Branco Weiss Fellow Kelly Clancy. The article, titled “One couple’s tireless crusade to stop a genetic killer” is about a couple challenging the regulatory space in the US in trying to cure the wife’s genetic disease – fatal familial insomnia, a prion disease to which her mother had already succumbed. Both, husband and wife, changed their careers and studied biology to be able to research the disease and to find a cure.
