Renana Gershoni-Poranne awarded an Alon Scholarship

Branco Weiss Fellow Renana Gershoni-Poranne was recently awarded a prestigious Alon Scholarship. The Alon scholarships are awarded each year to 25 young faculty members in Israeli Universities in all areas of academia by the Council of Higher Education of Israel. The program grants triennial faculty scholarships for three academic years. The universities commit to hire the scholars as full-time faculty members at the end of the scholarship period. It is thus considered a sign of outstanding past achievements and future potential.
