Branco Weiss fellow Hannah Mumby has been selected for a College for Life Sciences fellowship at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. Dr. Mumby will take up the fellowship from April to July 2018.
The College for Life Sciences is a program of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin to promote early-career postdoctoral life scientists. It offers junior researchers a unique opportunity to step back from their routine, reflect on their domain of investigation, as well as formulate daring and unusual ideas, interacting with scientists and intellectuals from the widest possible spectrum of academic fields and traditions.
During her fellowship, Hannah will continue her work on male elephant interactions and relationships by working on a comparison between elephants in a highly poached population and one with low levels of anthropogenic death. She will also present her work to colleagues at the Kolleg and hold a workshop on the applications of studies of elephant behavioural ecology.
