Angelika Steger and Josef Zeyer join the Directorate

Professor Angelika Steger and Professor Josef Zeyer have been appointed Members of the Directorate of Society in Science – The Branco Weiss Fellowship. Steger and Zeyer join Heidi Wunderli-Allenspach to direct the fellowship after Peter Chen’s resignation. Angelika Steger is full professor for Computer Science at the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at ETH Zurich. Her main research interests are probabilistic methods and randomized algorithms, graph theory, analysis of discrete structures and combinatorial optimization. She is also a fellow at the Collegium Helveticum of ETH and the University of Zurich. Josef Zeyer is full professor for Environmental Microbiology at the Institute of Biogeochemistry and Pollutant Dynamics. His main studies focus on the biological structures and functions in terrestrial and aquatic systems.
