Amar Vutha receives a Sloan Research Fellowship

Branco Weiss Fellow Amar Vutha has been awarded a Sloan Research Fellowship. These two-year fellowships are awarded yearly to 126 researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field. Chosen scholars represent the most promising scientific researchers working today.

Amar Vutha is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Canada. His work centers on the development of a portable atomic frequency standard that would extend the impact of optical atomic clocks to technological and fundamental physics applications.
