Falling Walls Conference awards Simone Schürle for profound impact on science and society

Branco Weiss Fellow Simone Schürle has been elected a winner in the category Engineering and Technology of this year’s Falling Walls Conference. Schürle is one of ten researchers whose works are described by the event organizers as having a “profound impact on science and society”. In total, 940 entries from 111 countries were competing in ten different categories.

The World Science Summit with the Falling Walls Conference and the Berlin Science Week are organized by the Falling Walls Foundation, a charity. Since its foundation in 2010 in Berlin, it serves as an international platform for pioneers in academia, industry, politics, the arts, and civil society.
