Branco Weiss fellow Yue Wan receives prestigious science award

Branco Weiss fellow Yue Wan has received Singapore’s Young Scientist Award (YSA) in the category Biological and Biomedical Sciences. The jury recognized her as one of four promising young researchers for her work on using RNA structure analysis to identify new drug targets in pathogens.

The YSA is part of the prestigious President Science and Technology Awards (PSTA) which are organized by the Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS). It is given each year to top young scientists under the age of 35 who are actively engaged in R&D in Singapore, and who have shown great potential to be world-class researchers in their fields of expertise.

Dr. Yue Wan works at the Genome Institute of Singapore of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). She is one of ten young researchers who got appointed Branco Weiss fellows in 2014.
