Clémence Pinel Appointed Senior Lecturer at Bar-Ilan University

05.11.2026 09:33

As of November 1, 2026, Branco Weiss Fellow Dr. Clémence Pinel has taken up a position as Senior Lecturer in the Science, Technology and Society Program at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. She has also joined the university’s Health 360 Center for Health Innovation and Social Impact as a research fellow. Health 360 brings together researchers from different disciplines to address challenges at the intersection of health, technology and society. In her new roles, Pinel will contribute her expertise in critical studies of Big Data, particularly the growing use of digital information in healthcare. The appointments will also advance her Branco Weiss Fellowship project, which investigates the social, political and ethical implications of Real-World Data (RWD) – health information collected outside traditional clinical trials. By collaborating with researchers and practitioners who generate and use such data, Pinel aims to bring critical perspectives on data representation, interpretation and value into discussions about healthcare innovation and policy.
